PEERZADA STRONG CANDIDATE

Fresh fissures have surfaced in coalition led by Omar Abdullah with former Education Minister Peerzada Mohammed Syed openly refusing to submit his resignation to the Chief Minister. As peerzada's supporters in congress and his Kokernag Constituency term the allegation a conspiracy against the strong Congman in Valley who they said stood through thick and thein with party even when it faced crisis after Mrs Indira Gandhi was ousted from power during the times of emergency.

Terming Peerzada a strong Congman who joined the Party as student under the leadership of his uncle Peer Hussam-ud_Din, ther former Education Minister never shifted loyalty to any other political party. He preferred to lead an exiled life in 1989 when militancy hit the Valley instead of leaving the Party or fleeing the country as was done many other politicians at that time.
His supporters said Peerzada remained in touch with his cosntiutuency and people even when militancy was in peak in Valley and also maintained a proper contact with the members of the minority community from his constituency who were leading an exiled life in Jammu. He shared their all soorows and joys together and was on forefront in solving their problems also.

Peerzada also tried his utmost to bridge the gap between the majority community in his constituency and the migrants by organizing their get-togethers and meetings from time to time so that the communication among the people should continue. Terming his ouster from Ministry a big conspiracy peerada's supporters said that so far no probe report is submitted within two days while as in this case the Chief Minister tried to be more prompt.
